August has been a very productive month for testing out new products, and I have quite a few!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette ($42)– A cult favorite with a wide range of warm neutrals and berry tones. This palette is very pigmented, creamy and easy to blend. This a good everyday palette, because there are numerous looks that this palette can make!
Becca Pressed Shimmering Skin Perfectors in Moonstone and Champagne Pop ($38)– OMG, these are perhaps the best gift I’ve ever received. These highlights are very pigmented and easy to work with. They give me an amazing glow and can be built up from a natural glow to a blinding glow! They last all day and are unique colors. Love applying these with my ABH #23 Face Brush.
Becca Backlight Priming Filter ($38)– Hands down my new favorite primer. Not only does it give my skin a luminous and natural glow but it smells amazing! It may not be the best choice for oily skin – I try to avoid my nose! It makes my makeup last all day and keeps my skin hydrated and soft!
Becca Aqua Luminous Foundation ($44)– I think I found my new everyday foundation. Its not heavy or cakey at all! It actually gives my skin a very natural coverage and glow – kind of “your skin but better” and works well with the Backlight primer. Since it is water based, I love to use it with a damp beauty blender.
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Bow-n-Arrow ($20)– Okay so this is honestly the first liquid lipstick I bought in the beginning of the year but I have honestly forgotten how good they are because I was on a liquid lip frenzy! First of all this color is a perfect browny nude but it has a very very cool gray undertone to it! Its probably the least drying matte lipstick that I own – because it doesn’t emphasize lip lines. It is also very long lasting – the only issue is the inner rim wears off faster than the rest but thats normal because of eating and drinking!
Too Faced Sketch Marker ($20)– Okay, the packaging is what got me. It looks like a legit pen with a heart on the pen lid! This eyeliner comes in a nice array of colors and glides on like a dream and it doesn’t move at all! It dries quickly – so doing a wing must be quick!
Sephora Lashcraft Mascara ($12)– This was a surprise to me and I didn’t expect to like it this much. It gives my lashes volume and length without all of the chunkiness but it does flake off on the bottom lash!
Too Faced Born This Way Radiant Concealer ($28)– This stuff smells amazing! Since one of the ingredients is coconut milk it smells like coconut! This concealer applies nicely with a beauty blender and brightens up my under eyes without looking too heavy.
