So I’m sure you’ve heard about this Milani foundation, because a lot of people on YouTube mentions this foundation. I decided to try it because it was recommended to me by a friend. When I initially tried this foundation, I hated it. I wasn’t used to the full coverage of this foundation. After using it a few times I realized that I actually really liked it. In fact, I found myself grabbing this one more than my other foundations. Even when I tried switching up my foundations I found myself saying it doesn’t cover as nicely as the Milani one or I don’t like the way it feels compared to the Milani one.
So this foundation is a foundation and concealer so it is a little thicker than most foundations so a little goes a long way with this one. It also has a pump so I can pump the product directly to my face and not waste any. The foundation has a weird smell but when it goes on, you can’t smell it. I did notice that a lot of the shades pulled very yellow so I know some people have to mix this foundation to get their correct color match. To apply this foundation, I like to use my Real Techniques expert face brush because I feel like it spreads the product nicely and helps it set better on the skin. When I used a damp sponge, it made my face feel very wet and cakey. This foundation provides a dewy finish – which I love. It can get oily, especially on my nose. To help with the oil, I use the Milani matte primer and touchup with my Neutrogena shine control powder to blot throughout the day. The thing I like most about this foundation is that I can barely feel it on my skin and it doesn’t come off my nose throughout the day, which is a problem I have with other foundations. I also like how it covers any redness, pimples and my dark circles so I don’t need to use a concealer – one less layer of cake!
In all, I think I found my favorite foundation of all time! I love the shade, it matches perfectly because this foundation does oxidize. I love how I don’t have to layer this one up or use an extreme amount of product. It also doesn’t break me out like some drugstore foundations too – which is probably why it’s my favorite one. I’ve tried the Marc Jacobs foundation and hated it because its soo watery and messy and this Milani one is a great alternative and it’s only $9.99! I would highly recommend this foundation to people with dry or normal/combination skin!
