I am so bad at choosing foundation shades online so I just decided to pop into my local Nordstrom and wanted to get shade matched for her Light Wonder with Youth Boosting Perfect Skin Foundation. I know that her products are up there in price but like I have said before I was watching a declutter video and this girl literally got rid of all of her foundations except her Charlotte Tilbury one. This really intrigued me because she said that this foundation is amazing because it is just like her skin but better, very light weight and good for everyday use.
So being so researchey as I am I started reading reviews and watching videos and getting a feel for the products. So anyway I went into Nordstrom and went right for the Charlotte Tilbury gondola and immediately this pretty girl approached me and asked if I wanted to be color matched and I said yes so she ended up using the full Charlotte Tilbury routine which is:
- Magic Cream
- Wonder Glow Primer
- Light Wonder Foundation
- Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder
- Filmstar Bronze and Glow
- Cheek to Chic Blusher
I went to the mall without makeup so I really did love how my face looked with all of the products and it felt so nice and lightweight and gave me a gorgeous summer glow. So you already know that I had to pickup what I came for – the Light Wonder Foundation and Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder. She color matched me to shade Medium 7 in the foundation and Medium for the powder. My boyfriend Daryl was so patient as he waited for her to finish up my face and said that my skin was very glowy and luminous.
So here are my two pickups from Charlotte Tilbury:
Light Wonder Foundation in 7 Medium
Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder in 2 Medium
I love her rose gold packaging its so sleek and I just love the feel of it. I know a lot of people who don’t like the packaging of the foundation because it is in a “squeezy tube” but I don’t mind because it’s one that I can throw in my bag if I have to get ready on the go and I can just squeeze some product straight onto my face and use my brush or hands to blend it out. Because this foundation gives a light coverage. I recommend to use your hands or a brush to blend this out because a damn sponge will sheer your foundation out even more and can soak up your product. Using your hands will warm up the product and give a nice even application. I personally love to use my Zoeva foundation brush to blend is out because it really does apply it evenly and fuller coverage than with sponge.
The powder is so finely milled and the girl said that you can touch up with it, and not feel cakey the more you put on, which I love because I am oily in my T zone and I have to touch up throughout the day! She did say because of the formula of the powder, it easily shatters that I have to be very careful with it. Now the pricing for her products are a bit steep in fact my total for the foundation and powder was $95, with Hawaii state tax. The foundation however is a great value because for $45, you get 1.4 Fl oz, which is more than what you usually get with foundations. But in my opinion, the quality of the product is the most important, and I think these are both very high quality and my face was feeling so smooth, glowy and light. I wore the foundation for the rest of the day after it was applied on me and it was humid and hot and I didn’t feel greasy which is a big thing for me because I am combination! I would really recommend this to someone who is looking for a new setting powder or a light weight foundation. Oh, I forgot that when you make a purchase they give you a little goodie bag full of samples and even some stickers! Here is what I got:
I was so glad that I got samples of her facial masks, creams, moisturizers and even some lipsticks. I think these free gift are amazing and I cant wait to try them.
Please let me know if you would like to see a makeup look where I use these products and let me know your favorite products from her brand. Thank you so much for reading!
